Nina Taylor. Civic Leader, Innovator, and Advocate

Nina Taylor is a dedicated public servant and executive with over two decades of experience spanning healthcare education, voting reform, and community organizing. Known for her focus on "civic innovation," she has spent her career building partnerships that bridge the gap between complex systems and the people they serve.

Professional Leadership & Civic Innovation

Currently, Nina serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Election Science (CES), a national nonpartisan nonprofit. In this role, she leads the strategic vision for voting reform to create more representative elections. Her work involves connecting with legislators and advocates nationally to implement civic innovations. Educating the public on election integrity and voter behavior. Guiding research efforts to ensure that democratic systems are equitable and inclusive.

Healthcare & Entrepreneurship

Before transitioning to politics, Nina held senior leadership roles in major medical organizations. She served as the Vice President of Learning and Education for the American Society for Radiation Oncology and Deputy Director for the Division of  Education at the American Psychiatric Association.

Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to found a digital health startup focused on improving access and mental health outcomes through telehealth and advanced analytics.

Community Roots & Advocacy

A native of Washington, D.C., Nina’s commitment to the District is reflected in her extensive volunteer work and grassroots involvement:

  • Mentor: She served as a mentor for Girls With Impact, helping the next generation of women leaders develop business and leadership skills.

  • Arts & Culture: She served an ambassador for the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.

  • Social Justice: Nina is the political action co-chair for the NAACP DC branch and deeply involved in the philanthropic community in DC. 

Education

Nina holds a Master of Arts in Human Resource Development from Bowie State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from La Roche University. She also maintains specialized certifications in clinical practice, leadership, and entrepreneurship from institutions including BerkeleyX  and the National Institutes of Health.
